Default Actual Doggie Dining Proposed

According to a media source, dog dining at Square 1 Burgers has been proposed by Square 1 to the Wildwood City Commission.

There would be a special menu for dogs. This, of course, would only be allowed on the Outside Patio area not inside dinning. Apparently Square 1 Burgers and Bar has something similar at some of their other restaurants.

I just wonder what the Servers think of such an ordinance permitting dogs to dine alongside their owners and other customers? Will they give the food directly to the dog or give it to the owner to serve the dog?

Lots of public health issues and who is going to enforce the rules and regulations concerning such activities?

This ordinance, if approved, will certainly elevate Fido's status in TV.

There are many reasons for, or for not, patronizing a restaurant. In this instance it is dogs permitted and dining on the patio. If I feel this is a negative I simply cross it off my dining destinations. In doing so I will make room for someone to bring their dog to dine with them.

There are dozens (hundreds) of restaurants readily available to us. They cater to numerous customer bases. One of them is catering to people who want to dine on the patio with their dogs and I feel that is no big deal.

I would hope this thread does not "get ugly". Threads that turn acrimonious do great harm to our image.

Great post.

Having the legal permit is key.

Maybe they could change the restaurant name to "Pooch's Paradise", "Doggie Delight" or "Fido's Feast".

According to their website, all their other central Florida locations are doggie friendly; Brandon, two in Sarasota, St Pete, Tampa, and Fort Myers.
