Default Cactus Jack and the Cadillacs

Saw the first set last night at LSL. They absolutely nailed four tunes, a long version of Suzie Q, and three one hit wonders... Little Girl (Syndicate of Sound), Gloria (Shadows of Night), and 96 Tears (Question Mark and the Mysterians).

I thought Association sang 96 Tears ?

I was there last night also but Rocky was on the monthly calendar.

I do like Cactus Jack.

The Association were a soft rock band, most popular song was 'Windy'. It was definitely "? and the Mysterians". I was 16 when "96 Tears" came out and it was one of the last 45's I bought, I started buying albums after that. In fact the singer legally changed his name to 'Question Mark'. The band is still around. I've caught Cactus Jack several times, last time was at Katie Belles. They are right up there with Uncle Bob, I like that they play more of 1966 - '69 era, since that's my favorite period, psych-rock and garage rock.

what a shame the great groups like this are not more on a regular basis , seems the quality of the entertainment has gone downhill!
