Default ARK Royal Insurance

I need some help. I will be closing the end of June. I have contacted The Villages Insurance and they sent me a quote. Good price with sinkhole insurance. Has any one heard of Ark Royal insurance (pro's con's). I am moving from St. Louis, MO and looking forward in living in The Village
Thank you
Cody

We have Arc Royal through the Villages. Rates are reasonable and we also receive sinkhole insurance. Policy was just renewed in April and rates stayed the same.

We have Ark Royal. The price was very much less than the quote from the company we had been using for the last 30 years. No complaints but we have only had them for 2 months (new residents to The Villages and Florida).

Welcome to TOTV!

Unfortunately, I don't believe anyone will be able to give you an acceptable answer to your question. All most of us know (thankfully), is that our current insurance company is good at taking our premiums.

Until you have a claim against your insurance, you don't know how well they settle their claims.

Many of us have our insurance thru The Villages Insurance and I believe they use good companies...

Good Luck!

I have also thru TV insurance. Great rating (you can google or ask your agent at TV Insurance) and I agree with memason that the true test will be if/when we ever have a claim.

We have ARK Royal through an agency outside TV. Our agent used to work for Villages Insurance and told us that when the tornado hit a few years ago that they had claims reps here that day and were writing checks to help get homes secured. We have not had to file a claim with them, but they do get very good ratings.

I'm curious about your sinkhole coverage. We were told it's almost impossible to get. We have American Heritage, also through TV Insurance. What village are you in? Did you have to have a special inspection?

We just changed from ARK Royal after our first year to AAA. The AAA house insurance was less and included the sinkhole PLUS coverage with no additional inspection. The auto insurance was slightly higher. We now have better coverage then before. Also, when we purchased the insurance last year the agent mentioned that ARK was not rated by one of the insurance rating agencies, since we did not have time to shop, we went with them, but I prefer rated insurers. I saw one of the prior posts mentioned an excellent rating, so I guess the rating issue has changed.

Hope this helps.

Other than posting exact rates for the exact coverages we all have, and with which company the coverage is with,
there is no easy way to know which company and coverage is less expensive.

I guess we all have been reduced to mostly believing what our agent tells us.
It really is very difficult to compare coverages and companies.

Morse gets his cut from all the Villages insurance offices.
I wonder how that relates to our premiums???

We lived here 6 days and our house was hit by lightening. $6,000.00 worth of damages. The Village Insurance was wonderful. Everything was covered in full, except for our deductible. Renewed without increase.
