Go to any of the swimming pools here in The Villages and you will see a few people with the tans just about like in that picture.

I remember back when my older sister was in her teens (late 1950's), she would slather herself with baby oil as a suntan lotion. You could almost hear the sizzle on her skin on a hot summer day. Remarkably, she never got any skin cancers from it and looks mighty decent today.
