I've got a 2009 Yamaha gas cart with over 26,000 miles. The tires need replacing. I have 10 inch aluminum wheels. Has anyone replaced their tires? Who did you go to and what was the price. Who would you recommend I use?
I enjoy doing things myself and am not against installing the tires myself. Has anyone ever taken old tires off a rim and installed new ones? If so, could someone who has never done it before install new tires on rims? Any input is appreciated. |

You can certainly call and get some prices, or do it online. You will need to know the size of the tire. I found that for the tires I needed it was less expensive to join Costco and order 4 tires online which were delivered to my door at no charge, then have Tire Choice install them at $15 @ than it was to buy them locally.
Here is the website. You have to use the select your size to see price. http://www.costco.com/Greenball-Gree...100042067.html Today the 205/65/10 is $46. |

There is a list of acceptable tires allowed on the golf courses. The Pro shops should have them or at least tell you where to look. Knobbies are not allowed.

I have replaced tires on my lawn tractor with not too much difficulty. A large screwdriver or pry bar to start pulling the tire off the rim is all that is needed. Be careful if doing that on aluminum mag wheels if your cart is so equipped.
I did go to Tire Choice to have the tires replaced on my cart. Can't remember what it cost. Good Luck

Although they have gotten some bad press here, I did well with Tire Choice at Colony. The issue is aluminum rims which can be damaged by steel tire changers. The TC store has the proper equipment to handle aluminum rims as well as the tires. Total price for 4 tires, change out, various disposal fees and tax was $366. Golf cart accessible, took about 45 minutes.

Tire choice charged $15 per tire to install as they were purchased elsewhere. They charge $10 per tire if you get them in their store, so $5 more per tire to get them from other than Tire Choice |

I am losing it for sure. I found this old post which I thought could help here, but when I posted this earlier this AM I did it in the old thread.
