Default Fireworks? Activities for July 4th

Does anyone out there know if there are any fireworks displays or special July 4th activities done in or around The Villages for the weekend of July 4th?

Leesburg and Mt Dora are your best options locally

We're actually going to be in TV over the 4th. YEA! Are there any activities, like decorating golf carts or something, with a theme around that time? May not be fireworks, but something special. We will also have our 4 and 8 year old grandsons that we try to keep the whole Patriotic concept alive.

The Bands of The Villages present two Patriotic concerts on July 3rd at Savannah Center. For a very reasonable $12 each you can enjoy some very talented fellow residents. Tickets at Villages box offices.

Be aware that both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT have been known to reach capacity...

Mrs. Buggy and I usually go somewhere for July 4 to get away for a couple of days as well as to see a great fireworks show. Last year we went to Cocoa Beach where one night Cocoa Village had a great show and the following night, fireworks were set off from a barge about a quarter mile off shore in the Atlantic Ocean.

We have also gone to Savannah, Georgia, stayed at the Riverside Marriott, and watched the fireworks set off directly across the river. The Marriott sets chairs up on the patio for guests and it is a lot of fun.

This year will be the Tampa waterside fireworks.

Tickets for the Concert Band shows on July 3 are sold out online. There may be a few left at the actual box office locations. By the way, I am very proud to be singing with the Concert Band at these 2 shows. I will be singing "God Bless the USA" with them.

We are looking forward to the July 3 show here. On the 4th, we go to Daytona Beach. They have an Eagles Tribute band in the band shell and fireworks on the beach. We stay at the Daytona Hilton.

4th of July is fun on Ft Myers Beach. There is a parade in the morning and a fireworks display in the evening. You can also see the fireworks on Sanibel and Naples. Throw in a sunset and you're done.
