Default Coming for our tour and 5 day visit...

Hi All,
We are coming Aug 17th for our tour and 5 day stay and visit through The Villages program. I am wondering are any of the pools deep water? Is there a list of Water Aerobic classes somewhere? Will we have passes to attend the classes and activities? Will we feel welcomed or feel like a pests to be endured for the day? This is sort of our decision making trip since we are coming from CA and is there something you think we should really check out while we are there? We did come for a 3 day visit 2 years ago to take a quick look and really loved it. Hubby is now retiring and we are making some decisions. Thanks all.

Ask the sales person assigned to you when you get here. They have a ton of information.

Look at the Recreation Center news published every Thursday and also available online (on thevillages.com website under recreation). You will be welcomed everywhere, and no one will consider you to be pests - most of us came here through preview trips ourselves. Check with Sales to see if you can attend classes; I don't know the answer.

I have some friends who go to deep water aerobics classes at the Mulberry Grove recreation center and I know it's also offered at Laurel Manor. I don't personally know about anything south of 466; I live at the north end of town.

Enjoy your trip. You will love it!

We did our visit in late June and our real estate agent was great at helping us find stuff for our interests...even set up a free beginner pickle ball lesson for us which was a blast! We bought a home...!!!... And close in late August. Will become Frogs in lake Deaton starting in February. Hope you have a great visit!

As a former Californian, and now in TV for about 6 weeks, I can assure you that you will be made to feel welcome. The people here are great - everyone seems to be from somewhere other than Florida. And everyone seems to remember what it was like to be new so they are kind and unbelievably patient. Enjoy your visit.

August 17th. You just missed the Crisper's gathering on the 15th of August.

Hope you have a great visit, and talk to anyone and everyone. People like to give out info to newbies, as we were all newbie's once.

beware of "the bond", a hidden extra cost on the price of all homes in Sumpter county;
New home prices do not mention this extra cost; and it is in the range of $25,000.

Hi Santacruz,
We are from Ca also. We did our 5 day lifestyle preview in May. It was our first visit. We had a blast. Everyone was so helpful. We played golf twice, went to a concert, played Bunco, when to the squares in the evening for the live music, went to the farmers market, to the movies and a polo game. We decided to sell our house in Ca. and we closed escrow on July 25. We are in Lake Deaton and we are loving already even though we are having a problem with the moving company. Our furniture is still in Ca. and they told me today it might not even leave for another week. The worst part is our golf clubs and picket ball paddles are on the truck. I have already gone to the pool, a neighbor meet and greet, Zumba and bunco. Tomorrow we get our golf cart

Talk to as many people as you can and you will see everyone is loving the active lifestyle here. People are happy to be here. The weather is a little hard to get used to for me, but it worth it to be here.
