I still haven't made up my mind. I like parts of each them and dislike bigger parts of each of them. I doubt I'd vote for McCain -- I really have to dislike the Demo candidate or truly feel the Repub is a lot better to vote against the Dems.

There's a lot about McCain that I like, some things I'm unsure of, and a couple things I don't like. In general, I trust him to do what he judges to be best for the country even if it might be unpopular with his base.
There's really not that much I like about Hillary. She has promised to and has every intention of installing more government giveaways than any administration ever, including FDR and LBJ. The only salvation we would have is her proven track record of failing to fullfill promises and inability to complete projects. Of the two Democrats, however, she seems the more pragmatic. I really don't know a thing about Barrack Obama other than he is a fine orator. He has absolutely no record to which one can look for insight. I've seen "position papers" on a variety of subjects, documents written by someone in the campaign with the intent of satisfying a check mark without committing to anything. Until Obama is pinned down for some details, something the press has been very reticent to do as yet, we really won't know anything about him. |
