Default Be careful when leaving Sumter

Recently, a one-way green was introduced for traffic coming along Lakeshore Drive from The Lighthouse.

Be careful if you are coming along Old Camp Road from Winn-Dixie (formerly SweetBay) and wanting to turn right towards Morse Boulevard.

Before, you could safely execute a "right turn on red" if nothing was coming from the left, but now you also need to make sure that nothing is coming from opposite (along Lakeshore Drive) and turning left towards Morse Boulevard.

Me too, especially since I know where these drivers came from.

They made a safe intersection into a potentially dangerous one. There was no need to put an arrow to make that left turn.At least put a sign telling you that motorists turning left get an arrow to turn left. Then if you're turning right on red you'll know that opposing traffic may be turning left.Of course before the critics tell me if you're careful you won't have a problem,I know already and agree.

I believe they made it safer.
With the left turn arrow, it is much easier to make a left.
If you turn right on red, you stop, look, then proceed when it is safe to go.
It is now, just like most intersections in FL.
