Default Banks & Local TV

Which bank is best for a simple checking account? Also which bank has the easiest access via drive through?
Can any local TV stations be seen with the TVs built in antenna?

Thanks, Herb (closing this month)

Herb,

Citizens First Bank (the "family's" bank) easily has the most locations around the Villages, with ATMS in every postal station. They have no-fee, interest bearing checking accounts (Senior something)...that were paying 3.5% a few months ago but now are down in the low 2's. For a national bank, SunTrust and Bank of America are around, to name a few.

Television Stations...I assume you are talking over the air antenna and not HD via cable? Someone I know tried an HD over the air antenna and couldn't get a good signal. Not sure about conventional channels on a standard set.

On a related note, I have comcast cable and have 2 HDTV sets (a Samsung and a Vizio)...both of which have a QAM tuner built in...this tuner picks up, from standard wall coax cable outlet, almost all the same HD stations as Comcast offers (and charges for) with no extra cost. So, if CBS is channel 6, CBS-HD is on channel 6-1...I get all the networks, Discovery, Golf Channel, PBS, HGTV, and a few others (but not ESPN HD). Just an FYI for those of you researching HDTVs....look for the QAM tuner...not all brands have it.

If you are closing on a new house they will tell you all about Citizens Bank and my also give you an extra $10 when opening an account their. They have always been very friendly their and I think you will like them.

As far as receiving TV stations you Can get about three or so stations. The better the antenna the better the reception.

Welcome to the Villages
