yes but i think it must be licensed as a street worthy electric cart which makes insurance as expensive as a car. check that out first! congrats on your new home in any case.

With an 8 grand rebate that makes it sound like the home was overpriced by 16 grand to start with. Morse ain't in the business of giving homes away and losing money.

Yammie, did you check this offer out? It is on for August and September. There are restrictions, I believe ... like the house cannot be already discounted. It is worth checking out. The Villages Vmail - August 2014 - Home

There were discounts all over the place on spec homes when we bought in 2011.

The discount must be working quite well to clear the inventory of new homes. The end of last week I made a list of 6 new homes in our expected price range. I also saw at least 3 others just outside that range. As of tonight, every single one is gone from the sale listings. We aren't visiting until the first of next month, so we are hoping more may come on the market at the low end of the cottage or designer market. I hope we haven't been priced out of the new home market in The Villages. Still some pre-owned that look nice.

Current owners are likely seeing their property values going up.

We were told it was for the first 200 homes sold. Then it will end. That was over a week ago. Agent says they average 200 a month. We weren't ready to buy. Maybe another time.
