Default 6 mths / 6 mths > Gas vs. Electric Cart???

I was asked and was not sure how to answer..................

I someone spends six months in TV and six months up North, is it best to have a gas cart or an electric. I assume with an electric, you are not getting normal (on the road) life since the batteries are sitting six months........charging or not charging.

Thoughts for a six month snow bird??

We are in TV about 8 months and have 2 electric carts. Homewatcher is supposed to be plugging them in and driving a little bit every month. Need to replace batteries about every 4 years, although in last year of life, range is more limited - since we have 2 carts we just watch our usage on the one with old batteries; otherwise, would probably replace about every 3 years.

I don't think we get much more out of them than if we were here full time, but - we like electric (less noisy). We also live in middle of TV, might want gas if we were at one end or the other. We love driving our carts when in TV, not sure we would so much if we had gas carts due to the noise. I think you would get used to either gas or electric. We usually schedule a yearly tuneup (by Shon Roberts, at our house) for a day or two after we get back.
