Joan was raised a couple of towns away, from where I grew up. So sad. She goes in for an elective procedure, and winds up passing away.

The funniest quip of hers that I remember is:

I am really falling apart so much so, that when I go to a gynecologist, he wears a hard hat.

Very funny joke, Joe. I can hear her saying that. She was a hoot. So sad for her and her family, she probably never knew what hit her, she just never woke up. :'(
