Default Newbie question: Garage mats or rug?

Newbie to TV.

How do you keep garage floor clean from car or golf cart issues like oil drops, etc????

We are closing on a house on Wednesday (hurray!) and would like to get started on right foot

Thanks,
Gary7

When we bought our golf cart at The Villages Golf Cars they gave us a mat. You'd have to check with them on the manufacturer but I remember checking the company online and they did sell a larger mat for under the car; I think it was $75 a couple of years ago. Welcome!

If you're getting an electric cart, definitely one of the hard plastic mats for the cart to protect from battery acid overflow. Otherwise, it is personal preference.

I coated the garage floor, no need for mats, and it is easier to clean up. Currently have an older 'vette in the garage with a leak, just put down some cardboard until I get the leak fixed. This is a matter of choice, however, I would stay away from rugs, too hard to clean after a drip or spill.

Painted floor with epoxy paint from Home Depot; have a new home & left the car on the driveway till floor was painted.
