Found the owner! Big thanks to Villager07 for suggesting a search of the Sumter County Tax Rolls. I easily found Mr. Kendrick and returned his item to his home.

We found a case with some type of medical device on the street at the light for t
he golf cart crossing at Colony. It is a small black case and there is a label on it for Mr. Kendrick but no other identifying information. He is not in The Villages phone book. If you know him, please ask him to call us at 352-633-1356.

Any other ideas of how we can locate him? I'm sure he needs this.

Since that is so close to Colony Rec Center, perhaps take it to their lost and found?

Or call The Villages. If he is a resident, a renter or a guest, they will probably have some contact info. While they won't give it to you, they will try to contact him and have him get in touch with you.
