Default Wearing headphones: Any risk for developing brain cancer?

I play a DVD movie every night on a portable DVD player that is plugged into a wall outlet. The built in speakers are not very good so I use a deluxe headphone set. The headphone set provides great sound but I wonder if I am at risk doing this every night. I guess the average movie lasts close to two hours.

Geez, I hope not! I would worry more about hearing loss than cancer. I do admit that I use the speaker phone on my cell phone when not in public because the little voice in my head worries about radiation.

You could get cancer from falling off a roof, you know. The fall could cause the dormant disease to suddenly become active. Have you ever had a bad fall like Humpty Dumpty ??

I don't know, just know that I wouldn't do it.

I worked in radio for 35 years wearing headphones eight hours a day six days a week. Don't have brain cancer. As for hearing loss... what? Huh? Speak up.

Default Earphones and brain cancer

Numerous and ongoing scientific studies have not found any link between cell phone usage and brain cancer. And cell phones emit radiation, whereas earphones only carry a small electric current on a wire into the ear buds.

When I was being treated for cancer about ten years ago the oncologist said to avoid hair dye ( I think he was being funny, since at that time my hair had gone missing) and avoid eating food cooked on a barbecue.

I am afraid of spraying of pesticides and worry about the workers that do it. I don't like the strong smell in Bed, Bath and Beyond and Kirklands, it CAN'T be good for you. I would worry about the folks who work there.

I don't know where the post went that was bragging about our granddaughter who wears earphones for work everyday..

I do think that an unhealthy fixation on the upcoming event that none of us can avoid isn't conducive to peace and happiness for the time we now have to enjoy.

Thank you! Although, I wonder how you can be so certain about it.

Maybe because of several years of medical school and several decades of practicing medicine.

When I was in high school I jumped off a roof just for the sport of it.

Ha! Thanks, I think I'm going to listen to the voice of experience.

Was that loud enough?
