Default Sad day if you are a Car Talk on NPR fan

Tom Magliozzi died. Half of Click and Clack, the Tappet Brothers.

I used to listen to them every Saturday morning on Armed Forces Network.

I listen to them almost every Saturday. It is truly a sad day, today. Blessings to Tom and his entire family and all his friends.

I really loved those guys and the love the 2 brothers shared for each other. One brother would say something and the other brother would make it funny and I never knew who was who. There wasn’t schtick about it like the Smothers brothers. You felt like you were sitting at the kitchen table with them. They could crack each other up and never an unkind remark. They were a steady part of my life that I could depend on always being the same kind of funny. A lot of comedians change over the years. They get preachy or superior. Not these guys. This is very upsetting news.

I use to enjoy Bob and Ray too but they weren't in my life for very long.

This is such sad news. You never knew what they would say. One time their mother called in and the jokes they made about her and with her were so funny. They will be missed.

This is a great tribute to Tom of Car Talk by Terry Gross. The good news is that the show Car Talk will be around as long as there are listeners.

Thanks for posting that, it was a wonderful reminder of how funny and human those guys were - and how much they loved each other.
