Default I offer this video

which I received today. As a veteran, I still correspond with some of my buddies from those days. Many served in Nam...well, most....some in Korea....most saw death up close and personal.

PTSD to my knowledge did not exist back then..at leasst under that name, but so many have suffered with this. The video is to me very touching.

Perhaps I should not post it...do not watch if you dont want to....I just feel I owe to my buddies to at least share this.

It is a song dedicated to those who have and do struggle with PTSD.

If I am being offensive in anyway, feel free to be angry and if it needs to be taken down let me know and I will. Thanks for allowing me to post it.

I am too small-hearted to endure the whole truth of the song video of hero commemoration you posted.

Didn't think I could watch it last night, so watched it this morning. Tears flowed. Thank you.

I believe my father, a WWII vet, suffered from PTSD. I know the children and my mother suffered because of his moods....having worked with veterans that have PTSD, I, like a lot of people in the VA, dreaded the thought of the next wave of sufferers. The current wars are particularly bad as there are no "lines" that forces are behind that they can feel relatively safe. So the adrenalin is always on....it's a horrible affliction.

WOW
Very powerful and true. When I returned from Vietnam after 9 months in country, two purple hearts and a lot of my buddies killed, I couldn't communicate with anyone. How could anyone understand what you went through and what you saw. It still haunts me today at 68.

I have always respected our combat veterans. The things they have had to see and do is unbelievable. Thank you to all of them.

My Dad did two tours of Vietnam. It scars a man's soul. He never discussed it but he was never the same.

Any (and all) deaths to the "hometown battlefield" is to many. I have known several who chose to end their own life, I wish they would have called me or anyone. Please, if you have any idea that someone is in pain or haunted by the past, encourage them to seek help.

Thank you for posting the video.

I so hope that whoever is in power will do more for these heroes, and the protectors of our freedom.

Bringing this around again on the eve of Veteran's Day. Thank you to all the heroes out there for putting your lives on the line for the freedoms that many of us so often take for granted. Very touching video, Rags.......thanks.
