Default Bacon Shallot Gravy

Yum-Yum

I just finished making this ahead of time and it tastes great. the bacon is not too overpowering and provides the fat for the recipe. This is gonna make any brand turkey taste great!

The Herb and Bacon Cornbread dressing should compliment it well. I made the cornbread in cast iron pans on the grill yesterday, cubed it and dried it out.

I also roasted 30 cloves of garlic on the grill last night for my garlic mashed potatoes. There was a wonderful aroma in the air!

I'll make the lemon meringue pie today with Meyers lemons from my tree and my lovely wife is making an apple pie.

Roasted butternut squash with a brown sugar glaze and brussel sprouts for vegetables.

I'll also start the dry brine on the turkey today.

It all sounds wonderful Walter. I just made my sage stuffing and got the fixings ready for a brocolli/cauliflower salad. Hubby is putting everything together for his homemade apple pie. We travel to our son's tomorrow and want to have everything ready.

I hope the weather doesn't affect your drive. Happy Thanksgiving!
