The over 55 population is an ever increasing segment of our society, and it represents a very powerfull voting block. While The Villages might not be the best cross section of our over 55 segment, I think it will give us some indication as to who the next president of the United States might be, and to what we might expect for the next eight years. :dontknow: Thank you.

Caveman, perhaps you're right, but I think we need to plan for the long haul. Who would you rather have in the White House for the next eight years? No need to answer that question, it was rhetorical and requires no answer. Another great benefit of our form of democracy, we have a right to our privacy when it comes to our vote.

Mort Sahl said this during the 1996 Presidential election, and it holds true today.
"There were four million people in the Colonies and we had Jefferson and Franklin. Now we have over 200 million and the two top guys are Clinton and Dole. What can you draw from this? Darwin was wrong!" |

I voted but I'm not convinced this would be my vote in November. I want the primaries done and over with so maybe, just maybe, we can hear some concrete ideas instead of the mudslinging rhetoric that's going on now.
I know, I'm still living in a dream world. |

After reviewing the three candidates and "other," even Millard Fillmore looks good!

Voted. I am not in the 55 and over demographic though. This vote likes Red's may also change as it is a little too early for me to get an idea about whom I will vote for in November.

The poll has ended. 33 people voted. It looks like a Clinton, McCain run off could prove to be interesting. It's hard to say how Obama would fair against McCain. Perhaps not too good. If you can read much into a poll of 33 voters. I was hoping for more people to vote. I hope during the real election, TV has a better turnout of voters.
