Default Shopping Questions

Hi Ladies,

Can anyone tell me if the stores down there sell shorts & capri's this time of year? Particularly Plus Size stores?

We are heading down from Michigan in a couple of weeks and there isn't a store anywhere around here I can get warmer weather clothes? Only winter clothes available up here right now.

Thanks.

Go to Bealls Florida Department Stores | Beachwear, Home & Clothing and you can find those. I see quite a few on line. I did go to the store a few weeks ago and buy some also. Bealls is a Florida store unlike Belk which stocks more winter wear this time of year. Have a nice trip!

We also have Beall's Outlet stores, Kohls, Bon Worth, TJ Maxx, Ross, Walmart, Target, and some smaller shops such as Anthony's [in the Colony shopping center] where items might be on clearance racks if not among the current season offerings.

Anthony's no longer has Plus sized clothes...they've not carried them for 2 or 3 years. They used to have a nice section 5 yrs ago so not sure why they eliminated it. Said it was a corporate decision.

Belk has some Plus sizes as well...it just depends on your style and tastes where you want to shop here.

I like Anthony's but they don't carry plus size.

I was at Kohls last week and I swear they had more capris than they had during the summer.

I have good luck with Bealls online. Wait for a good coupon day and free shipping. I like their Coral Bay line and Alia.

Agree to the above, but do yourself a favor-depending on how long you are staying, bring a lot of long sleeves, light sweaters, jeans or pants, and at the very least, a light jacket. It is currently in the low 40's now, and the temp for the next week will be highs of 62, 63, 64, 66, 69,72. lows of 39, 39, 40, 43, 48, and 52. It does and will probably be colder depending when you come. It also can be pretty windy. But, it certainly can get warmer for a while, too. My main point is don't forget to bring some warm clothes, also. The first year we were here for the Christmas parade, it was sunny and 75 degrees.
