Default Superfund Chemical Site

Does anyone know much about the Federal Superfund site in Lake County and if it has been cleaned up? From what I've read, it was the result of a company called Tower Chemical (that manufactured pesticides) that dumped untold amounts of chemicals in Lake Apopka.

I don't know a thing about this, but this says that the chemicals were due to farmers pesticides over time. It appears to have been cleaned up? Like I said. I had not heard of this issue nor do I understand it other than what is said here. Do you know more?

Lake Apopka North Shore

Lake Apopka North Shore
From what I've read, they manufactured pesticides and the chemicals that made up the composition were illegally dumped into Lake Apopka; pesticides from farmers use on the north shore also drained into the lake. Farms on the north shore were bought out and the land turned back into non-tillable land. Studies have show that SOME alligators in the lake are being born with deformities.

Don't know if I would ever want to eat fish out of there.
