happened to stop into Tuscany Spa the other day and a lovely young lady was doing a book signing for her novel, Between the Cracks. it is based on the true story of her great aunt, who survived the 1908 Etna eruption and earthquake in Messina to eventually come to America....Carmela Cattuti, the author, lives part time in the Villages. since i love sicily and am going back there soon, i was happy to get a copy. it is also available on amazon. will post after i finish reading it but am sure from meeting the author and discussing her research that it will be a good read!
