Yes. We suffer from the following weather problems:
Sometimes its too hot
Sometimes its too cold
When it does rain OMG how it rains
Humidity gets sticky
Hurricanes in the villages are bad wind storms
Tornadoes?? Well, odds are you will be dead before the next one equals Feb 2007
Florida sun is HOT
Common down and suffer with us, we have machines that adjust for these problems called furnaces and air conditioners
The music is always wonderfull in "Floria"
Handie :joke:

Too cold???? When is it too cold? Haven't had that day since we've moved here. Cool, but not cold, let alone too cold. The humidity is brutal, however.

Now, there's a song that would get the singer a lot of votes on American Idol. :joke:

chazz,to answer your question, you have to talk to native that's lived in this area of Fl. all their lives. I was here and my house was hit by the 2007 tornado, and talked w/people that only moved here from other states that said it was a "flook" and I also talked to the "natives" who said this area always got tornadoes but the fact that this area was always cow pastures (without houses) so it wasn't an issue. I also heard that from a national reporter who live in Clermont .

No Nonie, not yet! But I am like you with the storms! Scared to death! :yikes: I hope we have time to heed warnings. Here is a good site about tornado's with statistics from 1950-95. http://www.disastercenter.com/tornado.htm I just talked to a "native". He calmed me down a bit, but did say he bought a solid brick home. Glad my granddaughter down near Kissimmee, in Davenport is in a concrete block home!! Storms predicted?? I'm outta here! I'm heading south to Davenport! Big house, you can come! Anyone here know of a safe place to go if evacuated? Hospital? Only place I can think of thats open at 4 AM...............

A safe place is any Public Store. They are designed to withstand Florida storms, but a direct hit by a major tornado will destroy anything (F-5), but generally go to a Public Grocery store and ride out the storms.
