Default Capitol Fourth

I hope the symphony orchestra and the fireworks are great, but up 'til now, this show sucks big time. I always look forward to this thing and it is a major disappointment this year.

Yeah, I'm trapping NCIS while I watch the DC and Pops show. I guess I am a curmudgeon, but I remember when the Boston Pops 4th show used to be on PBS or A&E and there were no commercials. It was hosted by some nobody who just wanted to hear the music and see fireworks. Nothing beat the Pops playing Sousa. Since it moved to network, it's 5 minutes of music, 4 minute of commercials, and ramblings by whichever network name needs the work.

Don't have a bucket list, but if I did, one of the top items would be to attend a Pops Concert on the Esplanade, preferably a concert featuring Gershwin, Liszt, DeBussy, and maybe Queen. And it was great seeing Kate on NCIS again. She was hot!! :yikes:

Munice,

I agree. I was disappointed with much of the Capital Fourth and I too always look forward to it. However, they had more traditional music toward the end.
