My wife was diagnosed with Macular Degeneration last Nov. and went to various eye doctors in Minnesota to no avail. We arrived in the Villages Jan.5, and immediately started looking for help. She consulted with several eye doctors and a Retinologist who only confirmed her condition. We were referred to "Magnifying America" (John Palmer-President) by a friend of ours and he came up with the magnifying equipment that enabled my wife to read again, after over two months of not being able to read. After several consultations and a re-examination of her eyes by Dr. John S. Geddes,III, O.D. he came up with several solutions to assist her in her reading abilities.
I do need to cut this short but we can't say enough about the help we received from Mr. Palmer and the house calls he made to our home to show us the various options in Magnifying Equipment available and how to use them properly. He's very knowable about his profession and extremely low pressure.
