Seems like they started off saying zoysia is highly resistant and a good grass for this area, but by the end of the film they have shown us the grass is difficult to grow in this area. We (Floridians) knew this, or we would have been using zoysia all along. The water required to keep the grass healthy is exactly the same as for St Aug. , but St Aug. can handle more water without the fungus problems. St. Aug also recovers from problems much faster and doesn't have brown patches from dead grass attached to healthy grass like most of the zoysia lawns.

Centipede is hands down the best turf grass for this area, if you don't like St Aug. and want something actually drought and pest resistant with low fertilization needs as well. The slow growth rate allows a kept appearance with 1/4 the mowing as well.
