Default Frame Quality map of The Villages

Of course we have a $5.00 map, but we would love to have a map of The Villages that covers the entire Villages on one side and would be of quality that could be dry mounted and framed.

Any ideas??

It will change again before it can be framed

Get a big screen TV, and have it connected to a live feed from Google maps, otherwise as stated above, it will be out of date before it is mounted.
OK seriously, you could probably take the $5, and have a photographer take photos of both sides and digitally splice these together into one picture, and then have that printed on suitable paper, $$$$. I had this done with some black and white, very old panographic photos I had.

Agreed (until some time off in the future).

I realize that it will change, But I would love to be able to point out sites of interest to guests on a wall map before we send them off with the giant bulky 2 sided $5.00 map.

Even if it did change, it would be fun to compare now vs new changes in the future.

Do you think that because we span 3 counties, that such a map does not even exist?? As each country would only have their section of The Villages mapped. I had initially thought, "oh, just get a copy from the county" but immediately realized that is not possible.

Maybe from The Villages community offices??

it might be easier if you broke the pictures down into villages and then you can piece them together like a puzzle that way you could have a clear picture of each one might be able to do this on a scanner at Sam's Club

I believe that each county website has the detailed zoning maps. These are typically available in PDF format. I know I have seen 2 of the 3 maps, may have even downloaded these.
You could download, and work with Staples or Office Depot to have these printed out on their large format color printers. Then you could mount each on its own frame, and arrange Marion at the top, Sumter to the left, and Lake to the right. The color coding will be different for each county, and the modern papers will last a very long time.
I doubt this will be cheap, I would guess is the $50 to $100 for the printing alone, not including the mounting/framing. It just occurred to me that one of these companies may offer printing/mounting on foam board which would make framing much easier.
Hope this helps.

Have you see The Villages "General Area Map"? It is not a detailed street map but it has the main streets, location of golf courses, and pools.

It used to be on one side but the one I picked up last year is on two sides. Both sides appear to be the same scale so you could get two and splice and dry mount them.

They are free at the sales centers. They are nice to give to visitors as a general overview of The Villages.
