Default Oodles of Poodles, Labradoodle & Schnoodles!! Pprfl.org

Poodle and Pooch Rescue is in need of foster parents for many of the dogs coming into our care. They range in size from small toy poodles (5lbs) all the way up to a apricot Labradoodle boy (52lbs), and everything in between!

If you are available to foster or interested in adopting a great companion, please go to Dogs for adoption from our Rescue in Orlando FL and complete the application to adopt. If you want to foster, just indicate that in the space where it asks which dog you are interested in.

We could really use your help as we've taken in so many needy dogs this week.

Thank You For Thinking Rescue!!!

We can't help because we are in PA, but I can tell everyone that having a foster (if you can't adopt) is a wonderful experience. Nothing brings more satisfaction than taking in a scared pup that has no home and making them feel wanted. You learn what they like, don't like, what their needs are, and the rescue can match that animal with the perfect forever home. Taking in a rescue to foster is more than simply feeding and walking. It's getting to know them and making sure their temperament is known to make the perfect match, avoiding the poor pup having to be shifted from home to home.

Who knows, you may find the perfect match for your own family. That happens too.

Susan G. what you are doing is fantastic and I hope you find loving homes for everyone of those precious pups.

Question A Question Regarding Fostering

Just a question:

If someone is at their maximum pet limit, do you know if our rules permit fostering a dog?

We tried fostering once.
Do you think this one eyed little bumble bee ever left ?
Next time I will try a wet mouth St Bernard.
Mrs Cisco will let that one go.

I have the same problem, I have hit my limit here.

If it is a "temporary resident" I don't see how you could be refused...temp boyfriends/girlfriends/grandkids so I wouldn't think it would pose a problem.

Yes, Cisco that's what is referred to as Foster Failure and we LOVE 'em!!
Happens often and when it does, we celebrate the adoption like all others.
For those that aren't sure they are ready for another dog it's a wonderful way to go. In addition, the foster gets the first shot at adoption if he or she chooses to be their FurEver home. There are always other opportunities such as transport to/from the vet or to a foster home if you and Ms. Cisco are so inclined.

I just picked up a sad little 3 1/2 pound Yorkie today to foster. Skinny as a rail from a backyard breeder. Will get him healthy and then find him a home.

Your baby is beautiful and Thank you for thinking rescue!

In PA we have to get a kennel license to foster. We only foster one at a time, but its a requirement of our municipality or state. The license is issued by the state. The rescue is responsible for checking the home, conditions, and suitability of the foster parents.

Three of our fosters have been adopted by someone in our development. As we walk around the neighborhood, people are attracted to dogs. We all get exercise and the pups get adopted. It's a win/win.

On the other side, we now have 2 chocolate labs that were fosters. It's sometimes hard to give them up. But, we travel with our dogs and two is enough.
