Me too Minty, I think I have watched every episode at least 10 times and I still watch the reruns and crack up! Estelle was an incredible commedian and actress, we will never forget Sophia! RIP.

I heard just recently--a couple of weeks ago--that she was doing very, very poorly. Now she's at peace, but it's still sad....

AWWW, THIS IS so sad..
I watch that show EVERY NIGHT, before going to bed..The Golden Girls, we get together every night at 1:00AM, to laugh, cry, reminisce, forget our troubles..I guess now, I will have to move on knowing one of my long time friends has died.. Sophia, so honest and to the point.. SHE WILL BE MISSED, and CERTAINLY REMAIN IN OUR HEARTS... "Thank you for being a friend" RIP Sophia!

Yes, this is very sad news. It's particularly sad when one that has brought so much laughter to the world passes away. We can use all the laughter we can get. My prayers are with her family and friends.

Really sad, I just loved the Golden Girls. I think I've also seen every episode a dozen times. I used to daydream how much fun it would be to be one of them in real life, and live in that house, and have such devoted friends to share the sunset of your life with. They all brought us such good laughs, I hope Estelle knows what a true treasure of a actress she was.

That is sad about "Sophia" - she was a terrific actress! I have all 7 seasons of the Golden Girls on DVD and I just bought a book about all the episodes. I am a true fan. I think that was the best sitcom ever.
