Default Village Championship Golf Question

Played Bonifay today and wondering if Bonifay is a legitimate Championship course when two of the three nine's have 3 5's, 3 3's, and 3 4's.... Just wondering?

Par 36, just like all the other courses. What's the problem?

"Championship" is just a label.............There are good, bad and ugly ones. There are short ones and long ones. Some par 70, some 71, some 72.

If you don't ask the question, you never know!

Not sure if I've ever watched a PGA event with that combination.

Excuse the 'play on words' but did not know if it was Bon-I-fay'd.....

because you truly didn't know, were being sarcastic or google isn't your thing....in any case "championship" course is a misnomer as it was first used to describe where a championship tournament was being played(i.e.:the PGA tour stops)...then is was used to lure guys who played at golf to appeal to their egos as though a longer course was a better course....now it applies to about any 18 hole course that has been rated by the USGA...

I would venture a guess that about 80 percent of the golfers here and other places, that I've played 18 holes with overestimate their abilities and would have a better time playing from the *ahem* forward tees as it was excruciating watching them humiliate themselves from the white, blue and gold tees here in TV....

I went to a family reunion last year and the guys played golf. Many hardly ever play. When we got to the tees I told them that where I live the most forward tees are called friendly tees and since we are all friendly we should play those. Had I called them the ladies tees no self-respecting man would have played from them.

So yes, you are playing championship courses just like the pros.

WHO REALLY CARES. 18 holes , 9 holes . Whatever you feel like.
The point is to have fun. Stop worrying how good the other person is. Relax stop rushing and be shocked how you might even enjoy golf. You will live longer.
