Default Power failure 5:15 - 7:15 Mother's Day 2015

Anyone know what happened to knock out the power to Lynnhaven and much of Belvedere from around 5:15 through 7:15 PM on Mother's Day. I saw some other smaller neighborhoods still out of power around 11:15 PM?

There were lots of power trucks going around at these times.

The light at CR466 and CR101 near CVS/Southern Trace Shopping Center was also out for a shorter period. And one of the power trucks was turning into the road in back of the Villages High School that goes to the softball fields.

Don't know but when we're went to Olive Garden we noticed that one of the lights by there was out. There was law enforcement directing traffic.

That's the CR466 and CR101 (named Belvedere south of CR466) light. It looked like a few of the Southern Trace area stores did not have the auxiliary generators up. Publix was quite cool and had all its lights.

I had to do a lot of carting around to get Subway for Mother's Day. We had something else planned but that's life sometimes you have to make due with what you have.

Not crazy about Dr. Phil, but like that quote. I'm sure Jared works pretty hard for everything he has.

They must have had a backup generator that took a while to get going?

The power went out at 5:15, but came back on about 15 minutes later here in Bonnybrook. No idea what happened.

Bridgeport at Lake Miona...out at 5:27 back on at 6:13.

Second power outage in 11 years,,,,about 5 years apart.

Funny story. We were at a party and the subject of power outages came up. I said we have been here 5 hours and nary a flicker....when we got home the power was out!!! (about 30 minutes). At first I thought somebody was meesing with me.

The power company called. It was a problem with three underground cables or something like that. A lot of people it sounds like lost power for a while. It will probably be in the Villages Daily Sun tomorrow.

I must say my experience with SECO has been superior. I've never had an electric company keep us so well informed when an issue develops.

It was more like a 6 hour outage for some neighborhoods!
