Default I created a new game of golf called High Five.

Most golfers know there is more than one way of playing golf. Most of the time golfers are playing Stroke play but there is also Match Play, Scramble, Best ball , Alternate Shots and other games.

This is how you play High Five on an executive course.
Everyone tees off from the Yellow Tees on the first hole.
If after 4 shots you are not in the hole, you take a five and on the second hole you move up to the green tees.
If after 4 shots you are in the hole than you take a four and play the second hole from the yellow tees.
If you get par or birdie you take a 3 or 2 and move back to the black tees.

This pattern of moving back with pars and birdies and moving up with double bogies repeats itself on each hole.

You treat par 4's the same way and the highest you can get is a six.

Low score wins.

This game speeds up play and sometimes puts you on different tees than you would normally play. High handicappers will play mostly from the forward tees.

It sounds like fun. But you could have everyone playing from different tees on some holes, which would possibly slow play down a bit.

With our group of 16 we have golfers playing from the golds and the greens and it does not slow play down.

Although, I do not think going back to the blacks for making a par or a birdie is a very good idea. Most golfers I know cannot play competitively from the blacks.
