We always enjoyed watching the presentation on television but now we have Direct TV and I just realized we won't be able to see it. Darn.

Sounds like a great excuse to have a party at someone's house with Comcast.

I did years ago, it always was a pitch to sell more homes, in which has been successful. His attitude to me was demeaning, just one persons opinion.

Does anyone know what day and time the TV presentation will be on? I want to DVR it. Thanks. I can't find it listed in the paper. KB

Mark Morse called for needed stewards for this evolving community. I am game does anyone know what it pays?

Knowing this reliable adage, "A camel looks like a horse that was planned by a committee"…...

I'll take the proven formula of the developers' management any day.

We were there.....great marketing presentation which is exactly what I expected, although the video provided some insight into the man and the men who put this together. Having done a couple start up's those were the fun times. Running it is the hard part. I have great respect for those that take the financial and personal risks and are successful. While I did know that they came from "poor" and worked to get here, the video put some meat on the bones. There were statistics presented but outside of context, again what I expected. As I tell my friends, this place isn't for everyone, and some will always find stuff to complain about, some will always begrudge the success of the Morse family and someone will never be satisfied. For those of us that have the kool aid glass half full, this is a great place to live and it's great to wake up every morning and only have to worry about me....and that's the opportunity the Schwartz/Morse family gave to each us.

"Ask not what The Villages can do for you,
Ask what you can do for the Villages".
I think this is what Mr. Morse has in mind.

Totally agree with your viewpoint!

That all being said let's Not forget to thank our over 2,000 volunteers who run all our clubs. I wonder how many clubs we would have without them. My shout out of thanks always goes to our generous villagers who give of their time! Very much appreciated!

I was there last night and loved every minute of it. The video was lengthy but kept you going. It showed how the Schwartz/Morse family began and where they are with this adventure today. They wanted to let everyone know that they plan to stay here, and that the next generation is working here as well as sending their children to the Charter School. To me it was like a state of the union address to let us know that all is well. Mark Morse pointed out that there is no where in the world a place like this.

I felt so fortunate to live here, become new friends to others, help others, play golf and enjoy this life that has been made available to us. In the end we sang 2 rounds of God Bless America. I felt goose bumps after that.

The volunteers who do the clubs are awesome!!! They do it because they love it. That being said...it is still hard work. There is no other place that has all of these opportunities because of the talented volunteers.
