We were shocked to see that the store, Canadian Meds, in a strip mall south of Rt 466 on Rt. 441, was one highlighted on the May 15th show of 20/20 With David Muir. The store was documented as one of the several outlets in the Central FL area alleged to be selling counterfeit drugs and supplements. The program claims that many of their medications supposedly coming from Canada are not FDA approved and have failed as having safe ingredients. The May 15th program was entirely devoted to counterfeit medications, their origins and their distribution and sale in the U.S. Please review this program, and be careful.

There are too many legitimate companies that deal direct with the manufacturers that supply the USA market. At a fraction of the cost in the USA even with insurance.

No need to deal with the store front middle men like those mentioned.

Also remember the federal government discourages going off shore for prescription drugs. And the news networks would follow suit. In the process they do in fact disclose some fakes and charlatans.

I was hoping that someone would bring up the 20/20 Program.
I've seen people on TOTV recommend "Canadian" Meds previously and I shuddered.
I don't know of any Canadian prescription drugs that are sold over the counter by these sleazy outlets.
The pills are mostly manufactured in third world countries, where the quality control is non existent.
I would only buy drugs through Pharmacies in stores that I recognize. It's your health, be careful.

The same goes with the vitamins and mineral supplements. There have been several reports on problems with supplements either having NONE of the advertised ingredients, to having stuff NOT LISTED, etc.

On that 20/20 show, they showed with hidden cameras how prescription meds were thrown together. Formaldehyde, wallboard dust and in alley or garage cement mixers, etc. Not for the faint of heart, and not at that price. Do check out the program for details, but not just about meds, but about counterfit everything. A real eye opener and happening to us constantly.
