Default Marion Market Mistake

Big shout to all you Villagers out there! Just a short little nasty gram about a bad experience at the Marion Flea Market, although I shouldn't be too surprised.

Yesterday I bought a pair of cheap sunglasses from SUNGLASS ALLEY...I'm sure you all have been there and see it!

Anyway, I buy cheap ones because I either lose them or break them.

$8.00 and I was on my way. When I put them on today, I noticed that there were two different colors on the lenses...very annoying!

When I took them back, I just asked to exchange them for a different style. The owner, who looked like she had been ridden hard and put away wet, said they were sports glasses and were make that way. Yea right!

Anyway, I just wanted to exchange them and she said no way and said she would just give me $3 off a new pair. Not only did she hear a few choice words but I gave her customers a little advice on purchasing at her establishment.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. SO ALL YOU VILLAGERS, BEWARE OF THE SUNGLASS WITCH AT THE MARION MARKET...YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!!

Maybe you were a little gruff. I had a spring come off a new pair of flip ups. I went back asking if they could put the spring back on. The lady I spoke with smiled and said "just get a new pair". No problems. Folks couldn't have been nicer.

I thought you were a bit harsh, too. When I purchase things at a flea market, etc., it is my responsibility to carefully look at the product. We all know (or should realize) most of the products at flea markets are seconds. They are cheap for a reason. If I didn't take the time to inspect the item before I purchased it, my loss, not theirs. The old buyer beware. Just my thoughts.

I was with you until you said the owner was ridden hard and put away wet. That's just nasty, and indicative of maybe how your attitude may have come into play. Try some honey next time instead of vinegar.

You bought from a flea market vendor...and an $8 pair of glasses at that. After your "choice words" i'm surprised she offered you $3 off a new buy. Sounds like you should have gone to Macy's....outlet of course.

From Bogie Shooter's playbook.............

Did they have different colored lenses when you tried them on?
