Default For Sale By Owner Question

For those who have successfully sold your own home, how did you advertise it? If you used multiple sources, what brought you the most traffic? Thanks!

Free Ad on TOTV
Free Ad in Real Estate Section on Craig's List
Make a flyer with all of the information about your home and keep them on the counter for open houses.
Put a small sign at the corner of the street advertising your open house (be sure to remove the sign afterwards)
Put a sign in your window
Tell all of your friends
Compose an e-mail with all of the info about your home including price and send it out to everyone you know in an e-mail.
Place an ad on a couple of the for sale by owner websites. You can find these by doing a google search.

I successfully sold my mother in laws house (in Maryland) last year on Craigslist. Key here is to qualify buyers and to watch out for spam responses that are fishing for emails etc.

There are also Facebook groups that are dedicated to real estate buying and selling in some areas.

Advertised for 3 days at a time---cost about 80.00 each time--- sold the second three day open house. Lots of traffic each day. Really the key is to price it correctly if you want to sell it----slightly under the "market" price.

I wonder if anyone ever sold a house by posting it on TOTV?
