Default Introducing...our new foster Duke

My wife and I have been talking about fostering a dog for a little while now, so yesterday we "took the plunge". We brought home "Duke", a 6 month old Dachshund mix who was in the rescue with his sister. The rescue wanted to separate them as they were too dependent upon each other, so this seemed like a good time to help out.

"Duke" is settling in nicely with our 2 dogs, and we hope to find him a good home here in Michigan. We don't yet live full time in The Villages, so we thought now would be the best time to start doing a little foster work. We might not be able to foster once we live down there full time as we will most likely have 2 dogs (rescues-our favorite "breed" of course!), but I plan to help out where I can. Here is a plug to "support your local rescues" and a big thanks to all who help out in any way-no help is too small, all help is appreciated.

Default Foster Fun...

Enjoy your little boy. He is a real looker! In the foster world, he won't last long, so when he goes to his FurEver home, jump right back in and take another.

Thank you for thinking rescue!!
