Default Cuba

I wonder with the opening up of relations with Cuba will people be able to go back and claim property that was confiscated when Castro took over. Would be nice. Probably tax you to death.

Cuba=no more than a political pawn.
Priority is Obama bragging rights. He will give the Cuban power that be anything that results in or smells like or sounds like an agreement.
Remember the lawyer Obama trained to use, hide behind or abuse the letter of the law to give him puff the chest rights.......nothing more.

to those against opening up relations with Cuba--good question if people with confiscated property will have restitution---to those against relations--the U.S. already trades with Communist nations like Vietnam, China etc. and we buy oil from countries in the Middle East that have terrible human rights conditons--this will probably create jobs for companies in the U.S. that can sell to Cuba.

NEXT on the agenda.......

"The United States and Venezuela have embarked on their most extensive dialogue in years in an attempt to improve their acrimonious relations, according to a senior U.S. administration official.

The quiet diplomacy, the extent of which has not been previously reported, is a sign that U.S. detente with Communist Cuba may be helping to reshape another troubled Latin American relationship. The official, who has direct knowledge of the high-level talks, cautioned that the process is at an early stage.

The effort by Latin America's most ardently anti-Washington government and major U.S. oil supplier to improve relations comes as President Nicolas Maduro struggles with a decaying state-led economy that has been left more isolated by close ally Cuba's warming U.S. ties."

Of course, consider this as well......

How socialism has destroyed Venezuela

"MILTON Friedman once said that, if you put the government in charge of the Sahara desert, there’ll eventually be a shortage of sand. No wonder that, after 14 years of socialist government, Venezuela – the country with the world’s largest oil reserves – is currently importing gasoline. This fact highlights Venezuela’s painful descent into chaos, as the economy crumbles and the nation’s social fabric unravels."

Just things to consider.

I am eager to visit Cuba - wouldn't mind buying a couple of those old Chevy's I am always seeing photos of in Cuba.
