Default Why did you choose to move??

There are so many resales on the market, hubby and I are wondering why people choose to move. If you have moved or are considering moving, why have you or are you? Change in life circumstance, privacy issue, lot issue, neighbor issue, house to big/small or other? Just curious

We built here in 2000 in Santiago which was the last Village. In 2003, we wanted a bigger house. The pricing for resales was ridiculously high. I would have also had to spend money to makes changes I like on top of the high price so we built and moved to BonnyBrook in 2004.

We are maybe a bit unusual in that we have purchased 5 homes in TV but currently just own one. This in nine years. Of the five only one was a resale. Our Experence is generally resales are overpriced in TV.

The reason for purchase/selling: Angel loves to decorate and she is real good at it and I enjoy real estate as a challenge and investment. We have bought and sold several homes over the years.

We look at things the same way I think. We have bought and sold many times in our life and only bought two resales. We like the adventure of a new home and new location and homes if priced correctly and staged right are very easy to sell here and the moving costs are much lower than in the northern part of the country. We are on our second home in TV, but who knows if it will be the last, we are only in our seventies

I plan on moving after October (that is when I will have fulfilled the two years residency to exclude capital gains tax). I am moving North to get back in the South.

My reference to North was a directional one.
My reference to South was a cultural one.

Although a Yankee, I have lived in 5 Southern States. Have enjoyed all of them, and their people, food, customs, and cultures. My favorite state to have lived in is Mississippi where we spent 7 years.

I haven't lived in any other Southern State but Florida, but find my Ohio manners and ethics fit well with the Southern people that I know well. I don't blame you for enjoying living in the South. I find most Southern people are warm, hospitable, gracious and very charming.

Your Ohio manners fit graciously everywhere but especially well in the South. I don't know if I have mentioned this before, but Cincinatti is one of our favorite cities...and the Medical Center is a fabulous healthcare resource.
