I am one of the model flying club members who fly at the polo fields five days weekly. For the most part we had full access thru the open gates to the polo fields. Sadly, This morning the north gates were locked and access to the gates near the ball fields were restricted until 7 A.M. An employee of the polo program told me that recently people have been using the area near the dumpsters in the back field for a dumping ground at night. Dumping on the ground such things as old furniture, household items etc. The only option was to lock the gates to prevent further dumping. Why would anyone do this ????

Well they do it because....so far...they can...not surprising and it does suck big time...but morons will do as they please until they're caught...then they'll find another place to dump their garbage...it's been going on for more years than both you and I have been on this planet...

Possibly someone has a side job clearing out attics etc. for people and looked for a free spot to dump it instead of paying a landfill fee. Plenty of people advertise as doing this type of service.

The gates are unlocked at 7AM and that's too late? Sunrise was at 6:47 today.
That must be one of the most fun activities in the villages. I wish my dad was still around. He built models but was afraid to crash them or sink them. He would have enjoyed watching the planes fly right after he checked out the dumpster for attic throw-aways, another one of his hobbies.

I saw the dumpsters last week and the furniture also. Its a pitty that someone has to inconvenience the grateful users of the Polo Fields or as I call it the "Polo Field International Airport".

Someone has always got to mess up the good things people have!

Not much different than the collection points for charities around town that people use to dump their garbage. Instead of providing usable items to the charity for their work, they dump their garbage and create a problem that the charity must pay to clean up. Sad, sad.

Have you ever noticed the golf cart trail between Walmart and Aldys? To too many people, that area is the city dump.
