Realize Duvall is just above 466a
Any grocery shopping, gas stations, restaurants etc on 466A - how far
How far (golf cart vs car) from Lake Sumter Marqet Square
How far from Southern Trace

Also any info on local pools/centers appreciated

Lastly - does Duvall have own website or social groups

Hi, yes Duval has all of the above. We have a beautiful shopping center, great new Publix, Walgreens, etc. The Colony Plaza has many stores and yes, now a gas station. And more keep opening. The Colony Rec Center is beautiful and there is also Truman Rec Center. Duval has it's own beautiful pool, but really you can use any pool in the area. Havana Country Club is not open yet, but shortly, and promises to be one of the best. Same people that run Kane Garden, so the food will be great. They will also have a pool.

Only 10 mins to LSL by golf cart. I'm there all the time. I'll tell you, I think it's a wonderful area. Everything is accessable. And they are building out from here, so we'll be centrally located between LSL and Brownwood (The new Market Square).

Yes, social clubs abound. I don't have the links. Another member dickY has them and I'll ask him to post them or you can pm him. A very sweet man. I would say to Spanish Springs by golf cart, it takes us about 20 min. I find everything is very very accessible.

I think you would love Duval. I know I do.

Colony Plaza is very new been open for under a year. In Colony Plaza there is Publix, Beef O'brady's, a Chinese Restaurant, Cici's Pizza, gas station, and liquor store.. Soon the restaurant at Havana Country Club will open. Also the restaurants at Cane Garden & Mallory Hill are a short golf car ride away.

Lake Sumter landing is a 15 minute golf car ride away give or take few minutes a few less by car.

Duval has its own neighborhood pool.

Chels, you've painted a great picture of the Duval. Mr. Peachie and I love it for all of the reasons you've mentioned and an earlier posting indicated a new rec center is being planned for the corner of Buena Vista and Odell Circle. We love The Village of Duval too!

Chels, we are in Duval and love it! But as Graciegirl wisely pointed out, we all live in the "best" Village. I will PM you soon, right now I'm off to make lunch for hubby as he'll be home from the office shortly. :2cool:

Here are some web sites specific to Duval:

http://villageofduval.googlepages.com/
http://www.duvalsocialclub.com/
http://www.freewebs.com/hollyhillvillas/

There is another social club - Hollyberry Social Club - http://tvbeer.com/hollyberry.htm.
There are 4 executive courses, Sandhill, Turtle Mound, Truman, and Roosevelt that are five or less minutes away and the Havana Country Club three Championship 9s are 5 minutes away.

I just love hearing about how great Duval village is. I am looking for forward to coming down and visiting in October with friends for a week. However, next year my sister and I will be retired and coming down longer. I noticed that they are not offering any homes in Duval, just the new villages. I guess we are all "filled" up! Thank you everyone for all of the great information. I envy all that are living there now. "Soon Grasshopper"!! Janet

You can always look in pre-owned homes in Duval, right now there are 13 listed.

Has any one in Duval driven to Spanish Springs in an Electric golf cart on a single charge (and return)?? I am in SL a lot but have been afraid to venture further

I was one of the "Pioneers" of Duval when the surroundings looked like one vast desert!!!I haven't gotten to know many of the other residents since I'm older/single/out of town a lot. I let my grandchildren think I dance at the square every nite.

Everyone I've met in Duval has been great! I couldn't ask for betteer freinds.

First... Duval is great. We have a used 2005 electric cart... we take it from Duval to Lopez, golf 18 holes, buzz over to Spanish Springs and then back to Duval... no problemmo!

I know that Duval is a great area or why would such great people as Chelsea and Peachie chose it. We may have to sell in Hadley and move to Duval.

Thanks for the info. There was a Mexican restaurant which closed and is being replaced by a Bagel shop.
