What do you see from the outside? Can you see inside at night if the lights in the birdcage are on?

They have 3 optons: 1 is complete see through from the outside, another is partial see through, and the third is complete privacy.

I opted with complete privacy because I was so close to my neighbors on the side and the back. What they see is a black background. Scene is only for my pleasure.

I am guessing that from the other side you see nothing except at night when the lights are on. We have Coolaroo roll up shades because the privacy type screens do reduce sun.........AND air flow. And sometimes reducing the breeze at all times is not a good thing. I like the options of up or down. I must say OP, your scenes are lovely.

You may want to check with your birdcage builder. The birdcages are individually designed for configuration and wind loads. The new ones are designed for up to 150 mph, I think. Installing materials that significantly block air flow could put your birdcage at risk in a bad storm or hurricane conditions. Your insurance company may not cover any damage if the adjuster is knowledgeable. Also, you may have violated covenants if you did not get this approved by ARC. Not trying to rain on your parade, but thought you should know the potential can of worms you may have opened.

I've seen privacy screens around the villages but nothing with a cool scene like that to look at. They did a good job.
