Default Want getaway overnight to Bradenton Beach suggestions

Hi:
Have been to Anna Maria Island before and loved the white sandy beaches there. Getting cabin fever with all of this hot weather lately and thought maybe a one or two day getaway to the beach might help. Want a place right on the beach or across the street for one or two nights. Prefer Bradenton Beach or surrounding area. I can do searches on line but would like some personal rcommendations.

Thanks

Is the Cortez bridge on Anna Maria island or Amelia island?

Very nice we stayed 3 nights. About $123 per night. Right on beach!

Amelia Island and Anna Maria Island are both very nice. However, they are on opposite coasts.

Yes, Anna Maria is on the west coast and Amelia on the right. We have booked a room for $133 poolside across the street from the Beach at Tropical Isle Beach Resort on Anna Maria island. King size luxury studio. $150 includes tax and fees. They are having their off season rates right now. It has great reviews on Trip Advisor so we are keeping our fingers crossed.

Thanks for the suggestion on Amelia Island. I've heard it's beautiful there and we actually have friends there. I will keep that place in mind if we go. Sounds very reasonable.

The Don Cesar on St Pete Beach is spectacular. One of my favorite places.

We have stayed at the Tortuga Beach Resort right across the street from the gulf. It's a nice, reasonable place with several pools and they accept pets (which is the reason we always stay there). Check out their website. Lots of restaurants nearby.

It's connects Anna Maria Island to mainland. Another place to eat is on the water at Bridge Tender in Bradenton Beach. Lived there for years. Just moved to The Villages. A lifestyle change. Enjoy

We are going to Anna Maria Island on the 16th of Sept, but thinking of going to Amelia in early October. We have checked out the Seaside and the rate is certainly right. The site mentions that the hotel is updated. Are the beds up to par? We stayed at the Bungalow Beach Resort on Anna Maria Island and had really bad beds. They were about 30 years old and the pull out was broken. Hoping the furniture has been updated at the Seaside??
