Default They're back - Lovebugs

I have seen several of them in the last few days. I remember them from our time in Louisiana. I had to go to Orlando today and several were (no longer there) on the front of the vehicle when I got home. For those of you that have never dealt with them, keep their smashed remnants off painted surfaces, the acid in them will destroy paint.

I've never seen one. I've seen many twos. They're harmless but they just seem to float around aimlessly. They love each other and carbon monoxide.

The only problem with them that I know of is, That they can effect your car paint if you do not clean off the dead ones. They also can clog up you radiator .
To prevent, you can purchase a netting for the front of the car from most auto stores.

Soapy water, elbow grease and water to wash off the guts. We used to have a 5th wheel camping trailer. It was a job keeping the truck and trailer clean during the 2 times a year the bugs show up.
