We have spent months planning our visit to The Villages and an eventual move there. The good news is we will be there tomorrow for a week to experience for ourselves the Villages "lifestyle". More good news is we think we have found the perfect rental. Thanks for all the past comments from many on this forum. Our dream is finally becoming a reality. I regret the upcoming coast to coast move from California but I look forward to golf, pickleball and entertainment in the squares.

So where did you decide to rent? Have fun on your visit and talk to everyone you can. Do the trolley ride, and visit all three squares. Take the boat ride in LSL. Exciting times for you, and you will not regret the upcoming move.

Enjoy your time and investigate any and everything that you have time to check out. I said I'd never live in Florida (even though my wife grew up here) but on my second day visiting TV I said that if I ever retired we'd move here. And here we are!! Bet you'll do the same thing. Few of us check it out and then walk away. Again, enjoy!

We are reluctantly back in California after our first week in TV. What a week it was for us. We rented a brand new home south of 466A in Dunedin Village. Although we did not take our golf clubs with us, we managed to visit all of the Country Clubs and played Arnold Palmer with their rented clubs. Our favorite Country Club is Belle Glade...what a view from the restaurant. Our favorite breakfast place is Bonifay Country Club. They have a buffet breakfast to die for at $7.95. We even rented a golf cart for the week to get an idea of what it is like to travel the cart trails. How fun! Even got some prices from Village Carts for when we return.

We had a chance to visit all three town squares. Our favorite for entertainment was Spanish Springs. Great car show on Saturday and the band in the square was perfect. We really enjoyed Luigino's Italian Restaurant for dinner. We stopped at Kilwin's Chocolate & Ice Cream for a free scoop of ice cream on their 2nd anniversary. So much to see and do.

Now comes the hard part of packing and moving clear across the country from California. Our goal is to be in our new home by November 1st. Our only regret is we did not move to TV four years ago when we moved from Las Vegas, Nevada to California. Better late than never!!
