then being shot in the head with a yes and in the leg(s) with a no.....how long would some just stand there and await their turn?
Not very many so there has to be more to the story than the tidy one the press would have us believe. After the first person was killed there would be pandomonium....not waiting your turn to be shot. Why wasn't anybody inspired to rush the guy? I know it easy in the safety of home behind the keyboard, but if it is becoming obvious you will be shot how could one just stand and wait their turn? Not all would. There is more to the story! |

The guys on the train didn't wait. The guys on the plane didn't wait. But, in this case it seems that they were all told to lay on the floor before they were questioned. We haven't heard all of the story yet, probably not even the correct details.
Monday morning quarterbacking is only good for preparation for a possible future confrontation. Being oblivious to your surroundings doesn't prepare you for possible exigent circumstances. Being prepared for a building fire is called thinking ahead. Being prepared for an assault is also thinking ahead today. It's not IF it can happen, but WHEN it will happen to you. |

Seeme to me that if any of these victums had Concealed Weapons Permits, and if only a few of the dozens that were involved had weapons, that at least they could have a chance at defending themselves and helping others. I have a CWP and carry it frequently. The CWP class, if presented properly, (mine was 5+ hours at the Gun Range ~HW44 toward Leesburg)) was mostly on where and how to use your weapon to protect your and your family against a life threatening event. Whether or not you decide to get your CWP, the class as it was presented to me not only educated me regarding weapons use but more so on how to constantly be aware of your surroundings and intelligently avoiding decisions that could put yourself and loved ones in peril. Bad guys will always get the weapons and peril can never be completely avoided, so we must be diligent.
