This is a very good example of our lawmakers being aware that the system set up to aid refugees is being used illegaly with no enforcement. As a result it has become a laughing matter for thos who use and abuse the benefits.
It demonstrates Washington politicians lack the ability to do what is right. Stop the cheating. But that might offend somebody. That might cost the a vote or two. While we the people foot the bill.....almost a billion $$ per year. Politicians with no responsibility, no accountability, no consciemce spend someone else's money......NO PROBLEM; Easy money: U.S. welfare flows to Cuba | Ames Tribune |

Another selective enforcement or lack of it for illegal immigration/refugee abuse.

How would Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz - both Cuban or part Cuban - handle the situation?
How about Bush - with a Mexican wife? |

A non politician will (hopefully) adress the job on a right and wrong basis. What is being exploited by the Cubans per this article is wrong. Either enforce the rules and bring it to s astop....let the chips fall where they may. Or change the laws and the rules to fit what is being done (which is being done by default anyway). I personally believe when a non politician steps up to the plate and perhaps upsets some minority or specialty group, the impact will be offset by the silent majority that might finally get off their collective a$$e$ and back somebody/something. |

Not sure what Bush having a Mexican wife has to do with yet another action taken by this WH that has no support and is anti everything this country used to be. |

"Ever since the president announced in December that the US would end a half-century diplomatic freeze with Cuba, Rubio has publicly castigated the administration at every turn – be it the lifting of certain commercial and travel sanctions, the removal of Cuba from a list of state sponsors of terrorism, and Obama’s announcement last week on the reopening of embassies between Washington and Havana."
