Does anyone know the definitions of and the advantages/disadvantages of the 3 catagories that a social group can be classified on this board.
The choices are #1 Public I think that this means anyone in the group, or outside the group can view, whatever is posted within that group setting. Even people from outside of our TOTV community. I also think that anyone can join at anytime. #2 Moderated I don't know what this means. #3 Invite Only I don't know what this means. Last edited by Just Susan; 09-16-2008 at 04:20 PM. |

Public - open to everyone. There is no restriction on who can join or who can post messages to it
Invite Only - require an invitation to be sent to join them. Invitations can only be sent by the group creator or forum moderators and administrators. Invitations are sent by clicking 'Pending & Invited Members' at the bottom of the page for that individual group Moderated - open to everyone to join but messages need to be moderated before they will appear. They are moderated by the group creator and the site moderators and administrators

Is there a difference in the level of privacy between the classifications? Will any of them block viewing by people outside of the group?
