Default Banfield Vets at Petsmart

We are considering using the Vets at Banfield and getting one of their plans. Looking for input from those who have one of their plans. Does it work out well for you? Which plan do you have?

too many other choices, do a search on this forum for several good vets (I think at lower prices)

Always felt petsmark and Banfield were overpriced.

Maybe do a search for pet insurance and read customer reviews. Wish we had done that for our guy when he was a puppy.

We used Banfield when we first got here and needed a vet on a Saturday.

VERY expensive.

We used Banfield starting in 2008 and were very happy with the quality of service and pricing. When the time came to say goodbye to our 17 year old "Rusty", they couldn't have been nicer. I would recommend them. We had their basic plan with dental.

I went to Banfield last year to get a rabies shot for my dog. The vet tec was very impersonal, didn't interact at all with my dog, and only wanted to sell me "the plan". When I told her I did't want "the plan", just shots, the price of shots just went up. My instincts told me that there was not going to be a meeting of the minds and there was no way I would let them treat my dog. They seem to be putting money over personal care. I said no thank you and left Banfield. Subsequently, I went to the Vet in Wildwood. Personal care, great Doctor, attentive staff. Please shop around before you sign up with a big box for vet care as there are good, caring vets in this area.
